THE BRITISH IMAGE CONSULTANT
... The gentleman's mentor
Image consulting for men

If, for professional or personal reasons, you would like to improve your image but manipulation, aggressive PR, spin-doctors, unethical behaviour and cheap social-engineering tricks make you cringe - this is for you.

Image consultants often call themselves image creators. THE BRITISH IMAGE CONSULTANT does not create images. Delicately and tactfully, she transforms the man into a gentleman so that he - equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and habits and, above all, motivation - can take care of his own image competently.

Drawing upon her unique background, Helena specialises in the classic British image whose signature features are: good breeding, tradition, harmony with the environment, the strong influence of a life-style closely connected with sport and the outdoors, supreme quality, exquisite textiles and woollens, refined accessories, moderation with a pinch of eccentricity.

THE BRITISH IMAGE CONSULTANT uses the image consultant's classical tool-box, of course, and offers such services as colour analysis, body analysis and styling, wardrobe weeding and planning and personal shopping. She teaches her male clients what to pay attention to when shopping for clothes and accessories, how to co-ordinate an outfit so as to achieve pleasing harmony and balance, how to dress for occasions, how to pack a suitcase, how to take care of their clothes. She also advises on personal grooming. But THE BRITISH IMAGE CONSULTANT does more than that. Helena is deeply convinced that it is not enough to work on the outer image to make a lasting good impression and evoke trust. The image cannot be an end unto itself. It cannot be just a way of achieving desired extrinsic goals (such as getting that coveted job or influencing people). Even the most meticulously worked out image will quickly be exposed if it is not rooted in personal knowledge and culture and the man behind the image will be seen at best as putty in the hands of the image consultant, an artificial mannequin lacking credibility. This is why Helena wants to be a mentor - an experienced and trusted friend and advisor. She wants to help the man who would like to take care of his image to take the road less travelled, the road which every true gentleman has travelled - the road of self-improvement. Because, as Edmund Burke said many years ago:

"a king may create a nobleman, but he cannot create a gentleman".
